Standard Hours: 8-Hour Non-Union Day Shifts, Weekends may be included.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education -
· BA Degree in Accounting or applicable area
Skills -
· Knowledge to perform clerical duties embracing a wide variety of details
· Knowledge of accounting principals
· Ability in the use of office equipment such as typewriter, calculator, computer and printer
· Able to perform 10 key by touch
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Experience -
· Two years of accounting experience
· One year experience working with a computerized accounting system

Physical Requirements -
· Primarily sedentary position
· Able to sit in one place for long periods of time
· Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1. Obtains vendor invoices and processes them for payments using Quickbooks
2. Researches vendor prior balances to ensure that invoices are not duplicate paid
3. Generates and mails invoices for customer billings
4. Prepares bank deposits and records receipts in Quickbooks
5. Reconciles bank statements monthly
6. Uploads data into Lawson for the MTSJ Foundation
7. Demonstrates working knowledge of the chart of accounts and job initiative
8. Completes various accounting duties
9. Prepares, processes and distributes checks to vendors
10. Other duties as assigned
POSITION SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Controller, maintains the District Quickbooks accounting system and maintains monthly accounting for the Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation on the Lawson system. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
