Multifamily Underwriter

Connecticut Housing Finance Authority

Promotes and underwrites CHFA's construction and/or permanent mortgage loans for financing transactions of new construction and acquisition/rehabilitation of multifamily rental housing and mixed-use developments from initial applicant inquiry to final loan closing.

Requires BS/BA in business or finance and 3 years experience in underwriting, property/asset management, multifamily residential financing, real estate and appraisal. Requires knowledge of available housing subsidy and familiarity with Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and State Housing Tax Credit Contribution (HTTC) programs, real estate supply and demand factors, credit enhancement programs, appraisal and market study analyses, and real estate financial analyses. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires skill in mathematics and statistics. Requires strong computer and spreadsheet skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Salary Range: $66,353 $87,956 annually.
