Mold Process Technician



Our Client, a leading Industrial/Automotive supplier, is looking for a Process Technician to support a Manufacturing operation that includes compression, transfer, and injection molding. This engineering professional would work with Plant Engineering to ensure successful testing, set-up, and maintenance on injection mold, overmold, and other tooling/technology. Ongoing process support involves seeking to stabilize and improve all operations.

This Position is based in Eastern South Dakota.

Responsibilities include:
  • Hands on participation in mold installation and maintenance, tool sampling, and production parts approvals/dimensional analysis.
  • Monitors process quality, especially relating to Maintenance of molds and processing of compounds.
  • Investigates root causes of molding and secondary operation issues, implements corrective action, and process control plans.
  • Address continuous improvement projects on cycle time reduction, scrap & waste reduction, and customer corrective action requests.
  • Training and support of production employees.
  • Supports TS16949 / ISO 14001 initiatives.

Requirements include:

  • AS technical degree
  • 5 years manufacturing experience
