Financial Analytics & Metrics Principal - (Job Number: HV-0004-20091104) Description Under general supervision, provides project teams with support in the development of financial metrics and deliverables, ad hoc analysis and reports, as well as interpretation and support with decision-making when there is a financial impact to the business.
Position Activities and Tasks:
- Establish financial components of business case models and assumptions, perform complex financial analysis, and partner with Project and Functional Team Leads to determine business value of initiatives
- Assist workstream/project teams in performing consistent updates and developing presentations of business case financial metrics to enable fact-based decision-making by the leadership team throughout the life cycle of the project
- Monitor workstream / project activity changes that may impact financial value/contributions projected by the project and provide insights to team for decision-making
- Gain solid understanding of project requests/requirements or work with Project Team Lead to conceptualize desired results and outputs. Build financial models and reports as needed to meet and/or exceed project expectations and obtain accurate, consistent results.
- Thoroughly document instructions and processes for generation of new reports and maintenance of new models, including data sources, calculations, etc. Provide appropriate level of knowledge transfer to long term owner
- Work with workstream /project team to develop project metrics and produce metrics during start-up phase
- Track and report out on workstream /project financial metrics as well as budget and provide insights to team leads for decision-making
- Summarize large volumes of information concisely and clearly to identify key elements, patterns, results or relationships. Present information in easy-to-understand PowerPoint presentation formats
- Provide information to workstream / project support manager for overall project tracking
- Perform competitive benchmark financial analyses, as needed
- Archive all financial analyses, models, reports, etc. according to CCE/Finance guidelines and in a timely manner
- Transition metrics to Standard Reporting team after pilot for incorporation into standard reporting framework
- Educate workstreams / project teams regarding existing standard reports and drive team to utilize standing standard reports where available
- Monitor ad hoc workstream / project team reporting requests for trends and make recommendations to Standard Reporting team as appropriate
- Work with the Standard Reporting team to develop and continually improve reporting methods
- Perform other tasks, as appropriate
Qualifications Required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience required.
Education Preferred:
Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years of Financial Analysis/Budgeting experience.
Financial Modeling and Financial Analysis experience in support of large, complex projects preferred. Experience in Consumer Products industry a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint (including use of macros, pivot tables, lookup, etc.) Experience with Sequel and SAP Finacials preferred. Ability to quickly become proficient in new applications and systems.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
CPA/CMA is a plus.
