Under the general direction of the Manager of Business Analytics and Outcomes, the principal purposes of this position are to: 1) conduct outcomes assessments, using appropriate methodologies and prepare reports for clients summarizing the outcomes findings; 2) perform ad hoc analyses in support of internal and external client requests; 3) assist in the development of new initiatives; 4) conduct rules analysis and testing for clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
· 15% of time - Conduct Outcomes Assessments and Prepare Reports - Implement, analyze, and interpret business and clinical outcomes on multiple populations. Evaluate and validate results. Write outcomes reports and assist in preparing presentations summarizing the outcomes or related activities for the client.
· 25% of time - Ad hoc analysis - Perform ad hoc analyses, using T-SQL and other tools, in support of quality assurance activities and customer inquiries.
· 25% of time - Customer Service - Answers incoming written or verbal inquiries from internal and external clients and coordinates responses with clinical and other appropriate departments.
· 35% of time - Rule Development and Testing - Develop PA Rules parameters based on clinical documentation. Perform data mining and test PA Rules to ensure that requirements are met. Coordinates changes with the clinicians ensuring all changes are tested and documented.
Education and Typical Years Experience
· Undergraduate degree in pharmacy or health administration, economics, statistics or other related discipline preferred, or comparable industry experience or education.
· Analytical and problem-solving experience. Experience with relational databases and data analysis. Experience in the health care/pharmaceutical industry preferred. Good communication and presentation skills (written and oral) required.
Special Requirements
· Job Knowledge: Must have problem solving ability for data analysis and software testing. Have capability to work efficiently using SPSS, FoxPro, SQL, Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
· Completion of Job Responsibilities: Strong project management skills with a skill level that is high quality with consistent attention to detail.
