JOB DESCRIPTION:
Through an independent work environment, the Operations Manager provides support to the Branch Manager and the sales staff to meet branch goals. Work with Sales and Operations to ensure Branch is providing 100% service level to end customer at all times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources. Direct, and coordinate the activities of organizations that are engaged in customer service, inventory, loaner kit assembly and distribution. Manage all Branch operations personnel including: working with Human Resources and placement agencies in hiring and recruiting top talent; performance management and reviews; goal setting and performance measurement; development and training. Interface with corporate departments to assist Branch team to solve issues as they arise. Drive data integrity, quality and service level improvements through the use of problem-solving and process mapping tools. Coordinate programs to enhance Branch morale and employee engagement. Manage productivity and process improvement by evaluating current processes, benchmarking and implementing best practice solutions when appropriate. Evaluate, control, analyze, report and communicate inventory metrics to ensure branch meets company standards for inventory (turns, cycle counting, etc.). Manage all aspects of the main branch facility (lease, maintenance, utilities, etc.), as well as satellite office(s), if applicable. Coordinate and llocate new product rollouts with Branch Manager. Manage instrument and discretionary budgets to ensure Branch meets annual goals. Prepare Branch for audits and ensure branch is in constant state of audit readiness. Ensure compliance with and become Branch expert on Revenue Recognition rules. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and all applicable regulations and ordinances (i.e. reporting; training on bloodborne pathogens, protective equipment; and facility issues such as clean rooms, equipment, inspections, etc.) Develop an annual business plan along with the Branch/Sales Managers and Field Operations Manager. Report progress to plan monthly, set stretch objectives for group, communicate and develop plan to meet goals. Partner with finance departments to perform annual budget process. Forecast and administer Branch capital purchases. Manage Branch expenditures to discretionary budget. Represent Branch at quarterly regional operations meetings and annual national operations meeting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Access, Visio). Reporting and data analysis skills required. Ability to delegate, monitor/ensure the completion of projects through delegates, report on progress to Branch Management and Field Operations Manager. Ability to self-prioritize and complete complex projects in a hectic environment. Ability to manage/monitor field employees in remote (satellite) facilities, if applicable.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED (advanced degree preferred).
