Eskaton, a leading senior services company in Northern California for more than 40 years is seeking qualified people for the role of Resident Care Associate/Med Tech at the following locations:

Eskaton Lodge Cameron Park , 3421 Palmer Drive Cameron Park , CA 95682; FT position that will be scheduled for the NOC shift

Eskaton Lodge Gold River, 11390 Coloma Road Gold River, CA 95670. This is on call positiion that will be scheduled for various shifts.

A Resident Care Associate/Med Tech provides personal care, companion care, nursing assistance and other assigned tasks to elderly residents in the assisted living community. The duties of a RCA are varied but will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing companion care which can include reading, visiting, answering personal correspondence, assisting with bill paying or other tasks as listed on the resident's plan of care
  • Providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing/showering/toileting or dressing
  • May deliver meal trays from dining room or assist residents to the dining room
  • May assist residents to medical appointments or other vital services
  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the primary physician
      Requirements
      • 6 months experience in providing personal care in a residential or long term care setting preferred.
      • Valid/current first aid certification.
      • Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.
      • Knowledge in performing personal care services in a residential environment
      • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team and to share information freely
      • Must have a valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record
