Work in a fast paced technology center providing state of the art solutions. Background in Microsoft’s Operation Manager (MOM), Common Access Control (CAC) authentication, Unified Communications, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2008 and VISTA client operating systems would be helpful in this job.

Additionally, experience with the following would be beneficial:
Unified Messaging (OCS), MOSS, Smartcard and PKI technologies, PKI/PKE, VPN, Visio, RIM, and Kerberos

Support the Director of Advanced Technologies (AT) of the US Army. Primary responsibilities will be to conduct Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E) of current and future technologies for the Army Enterprise as it relates to all technologies necessary to fulfill Army requirements. This will include evaluating Active Directory (Longhorn and VISTA client), Network Access Protection (NAP), Terminal Service Gateway, Datacenter Protection Manager (DPM), Exchange, Office, Two-way Wireless Electronic Devices, streaming media technologies, using the Common Access Card (CAC) for authentication, Entourage and S/MIME support in messaging and participating in Microsoft Technology Adoption Programs (TAP) relate to various technologies. Secondary responsibilities will require supporting the AT team in all other activities related to general Active Directory and Exchange messaging, third party technologies currently under evaluation. This will include providing Tier II/III user support, working with the AKO Help desk for end-user problem resolution and building/rebuilding data center systems as necessary.

Must be able to work in a team atmosphere with other AT engineers, Microsoft, 3rd Party vendor, and Army engineers to develop and integrate various technical solutions to meet the requirements of the Army.
