Materials Management Supervisor Full Time, Day: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

This employee performs administrative and supervisory work in managing a store room. Position requires extensive knowledge of stock supplies and their use. Judgment and initiative are exercised frequently in applying storeroom policies and procedures.

The following are examples of duties of this position:

- Supervises the receiving, storing and dispersing of store room supplies.

- Supervises other store room personnel; include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work, training personnel, and recommending applicants for employment or for discipline, termination or retention.

- Supervises central scheduling.

- Provides information and recommendations about stock items to/from other departments.

- Communicates with vendors verbally and in writing on matters relating to supplies and changes in technology.

- Conducts periodic checks on inventory.

Four years previous hospital experience in materials management or prior supervisorial experience required.

Excellent computer skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Bachelors Degree preferred.
