Duties: -Advises students and parents on Financial Aid -Professional Judgment Advising -Processing tasks -Answers emails -Participate in College For A Weekend (CFAW), Early Orientation, Financial Check-In, and Freshman Orientation -Posts institutional scholarships -Functions as a resource for other departments at Liberty on Financial AidQualifications: -Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent financial aid experience -Knowledge and understanding of the entire financial aid process including: FAFSA (Student Aid Report), PELL, FSEOG, FWS, Sub loans, Unsub loans, PLUS, VTAG, CSAP, Voc-Rehab, Veterans Benefits, Outside scholarships, Institutional Aid, Military Benefits -Excellent communication and organization skills -Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. -Demonstrate customer service skills -Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, and weekends -Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan -Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contend ere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds -Ability to speak a foreign language, such as Spanish, preferred
