| | BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
This Position is responsible for managing the budget and finances of the facility in addition to planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the accounting department.
PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:
· Supervising and monitoring the accounting department
· Generates financial reports
· Creates and applies controls and procedures
· Develops and monitors budgets
· Conducts periodic internal audits
· Compares performance with operating plans and standards
· Provides reports and interprets results to management
· Prepares, verifies and controls the entering of journal entries into the general ledger
· Coordinates monthly financial closing
· Interfaces with internal departments to compile financial data to satisfy corporate reporting
· Performs Special Projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
· 5-8 yrs accounting and supervisory experience required
· Special Requirements:
Computer skills, auditing skills, good math skills, flexible, multi-task oriented, able to work
independently with a high level of accuracy, strong analytical and reasoning ability, high energy level, and well organized.
