Job Description: Seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with experience working in a complex fast paced DOD/ARMY computing environment. The position is located at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) supporting the enterprise Combat Training Center Instrumentation System (CTC-IS). The successful candidate will work closely with other CTC-IS Systems Administrators and be part of an on-site team that provides enterprise wide support for the mission-critical systems that comprise our training environment. The candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and identifying root cause failure analysis. Maintains a high level of service up-time on production systems and anticipates future requirements, trends, and changes to assure current and future customer satisfaction. Candidate must be able to implement patches, updates, maintain system backups, archives, and restores.




Required Skills: The candidate MUST POSSESS AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. The candidate must have 2+ years experience on a large DOD enterprise system, Windows XP, 2000/2003 System Administration, Disaster Recovery, MS IIS, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, Virtualization, Clustering, Backup/Recovery, MS Exchange and Print Servers. The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of complex networked systems, be a flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations, adapt to changing environments and requirements and demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing. The selected candidate should be a highly self-motivated individual and team player with a solid work ethic, superior interpersonal skills, possess strong customer service skills and have a positive attitude. The candidate should have the ability to use scripting languages and tools to automate repetitive test cases, have knowledge and understanding of National Institute of Standard, Technology Computer Security Standard, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), DOD Directive 8500.1, 8500.2, Army Regulation 25-2. The candidate will be responsible for training and complying with all OSHA and Company safety requirements and will wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as applicable. The candidate must have a valid Driver's License.



Desired Skills: The candidate should have VMware ESX or other Virtualization experience, Experience in the management of Windows Domains, experience administering Active Directory services, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, on Windows Server 2003, and 2 years of recent experience as Windows Server 2003 systems administrator within the last four years.



Required Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. May accept equivalent work experience in lieu of educational requirements.



Must possess a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
