Job Details:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • 2 years healthcare experience required.
    • Basic computer knowledge required.
    • Customer service skills are required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Medical Terminology knowledge

    • Performs all phases of the registration process for the Admitting Department. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate for Inpatient and Outpatient registration.

      • Pre-registers/registers patient's demographic information into hospital information system.
      • Prepares documentation required for registration; routing charts and paperwork to necessary departments.
      • Reviews and explains financial requirements to patient or responsible party. Collects co-pay and/ or deductibles as required.
      • Answers telephone calls to assist with verification, pre-certification, or any questions related to patient accounts when applicable.
      • Organizes work so others can take over work in progress without interruption.
