ACS Healthcare Solutions has opportunities for HIM healthcare professionals with knowledge and work experience in Revenue Cycle -- Health Information Management - Case Management. This is a direct, full time travel opportunity with no relocation required.
Health Information Management experience needs to include hands on management experience in Medical Records with proven ability to implement revenue cycle initiatives to increase cash collections. Candidates must have a strong understanding of efficient HIM processes and appropriate staffing requirements. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how their ideas and procedures have resulted in improvements in outstanding A/R and increased revenue. Additional qualifications include:
RHIA, RHIT and CCS certification
Charge Description Master experience
Expert understanding of Medical Records process flow including coding compliance, reduction in delinquent medical record counts, reduction in coding backlog days.
Familiar with an encoding product.
HIPAA compliance, Medical Review board for HIM policy and procedure implementation.
To be considered for the position you should have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES………
1. Participate and lead Revenue Cycle consulting engagements, including reducing days in A/R, improving processes throughout the revenue cycle, increasing cash flow, case management, and discharge planning.
2. Able to function as an interim HIM Director.
3. Able to demonstrate best practices throughout the Revenue Cycle.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION.…..
1. 5+ years prior Revenue Cycle experience in a hospital setting.
2. Patient Access, Health Information Management or Patient Financial Services department experience, preferably at a management level.
3. Prior Revenue Cycle consulting experience strongly preferred.
4. Case Management experience. Prefer an RN with clinical nursing experience.
5. Demonstrated strong project management and planning skills/capabilities.
6. Writing, analytical and presentation skills sufficient to meet demands of consulting assignments.
7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Project, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
