Job Summary:
The Used Vehicle Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the activities of the Used Vehicle Sales Department. The Used Vehicle Sales Manager is responsible for managing the performance of the associates in the department and achieving 100% Customer Satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities:
· Assist Sales Associates in the potential closing of deals
· Complete trade appraisals and buy used vehicles for the dealership
· Oversee the efforts of vehicle Sales Associates to enhance the dealership image, the customer experience and achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction
· Forecast daily and monthly goals for the department and strive to meet them
· Complete customer follow-up as outlined by AutoNation standards
· Monitor all three areas of Traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
· Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all vehicle sales associates
· Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings
· Work with General Manager and General Sales Manager on the used vehicle inventory to be carried based on sales and market analysis
· Assist in managing controllable expense elements for the Used Vehicle Department
· Assist in the operation of F & I back-up with credit bureaus, on-pays and properly filled out forms and deal packs
· Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers
· Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards


Required Experience:
Qualifications:
· Must meet company's requirements for employment
· Seven plus years of dealership operations experience
· Three plus years of previous sales experience
· Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
· Professional appearance
· Computer literacy
· Must have a valid driver's license


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
· Normal office environment
· Prolonged periods of personal computer usage and data entry
· Ability to operate an automobile
· Exposure to inclement weather


Required Education:
o High school diploma or the equivalent
o 2 year or 4 year college degree in Business or related field
