Functional Description:

Under the general direction of the Director of Business Analytics and Outcomes, the principal purposes of this position are to: 1) perform business and data analysis as needed for clinical and auditing projects and write reports and prepare presentations summarizing the analysis as required; 2) perform clinical and business ad hoc analyses to produce client assessment documents or summary analysis; 3) perform additional queries or reports needed by the department using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to create reports which will act to simplify and streamline common tasks within the department.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

·          50% of time – Analysis: Perform business and data analysis as needed for clinical and auditing projects. Write SSRS reports and assist in preparing presentations summarizing the analysis.

·          35% of time - Special Projects: Perform clinical and business ad hoc analyses to produce client assessment documents or summary analysis.

·          15% of time - Business Analyst Support: Aid in performing any additional queries or reports needed by the department. Work with SQL Server Reporting Services to create reports which will act to simplify and streamline common tasks within the department.

 

Education and Typical Years Experience

·          Undergraduate degree in computer science, pharmacy, or health administration or other related discipline preferred, or comparable industry experience or education.

·          Analytical and problem-solving experience. At least one year of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services a plus.

·          Hands-on knowledge of pharmacy or medical administrative claims or experience in the health care/pharmaceutical industry desirable. Good communication and presentation skills (written and oral) required.

 

Special Requirements

·          Job Knowledge: Must have demonstrated problem solving experience in performing relational data analysis. Have proven record of working efficiently using FoxPro, Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, Word, Access, and other computer applications.

·          Completion of Job Responsibilities: Skill level that is high quality with consistent attention to detail. Functions autonomously, rarely needing assistance with routine assignments. Examines own performance and takes every opportunity to improve self. Is a fully participating team member. Consistently collaborates with clinical and audit management team. Shares/uses suggestions for performance. Manages time effectively. Consistently uses methods which are efficient. Drives to achieve positive results.

·          Interactions with Staff/Customers: Interaction with staff/customers is professional and supportive. Helps build a positive customer relationship. Frequently offers assistance and expertise. Highly enthusiastic and motivated. Works effectively in a team environment.

        10% travel
