PEDIATRIC CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER: Children's Hospital Central California

This position is accountable for performing a variety of more complex echocardiographic procedures with expertise, using ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic quality echocardiographic studies under a variety of conditions. Performs EKG's, holter and multi-event monitor applications as requested. Assits the Cardiologist as required. Works under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor.

Participates in the rotation of on-call duties and Outreach Clinic involvement with other cardiac Sonographers as assigned. Increasingly acts as a resource to the Department.

REQUIREMENTS

1. This position requires: a minimum of three years pediatric echocardiography experience.
2. Prefer 5 years of increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job;
3. High School Graduate or GED; Technical/Vocation Training preferred
4. BLS
5. Active registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in one or two specialties (pediatric echo registry is required)
6. Cardiology Technology Certification (CCT) is preferred
7. Exposure and training toward becoming proficient at routine Fetal echocardiography.
8. Bilingual skills desirable.
