Accounts Payable Manager

Full Time/Temporary

Responsibilities

· Manage and coordinate training/activities for Accounts Payable staff to ensure quality output, timely payment of invoices, and compliance with policies and guidelines.

· Supervise and coordinate work of designated employees; manage various personal functions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules.

· Prepares, consolidates and audits accounts payable input to ensure transactions are properly authorized and in compliance with our policies and regulatory requirements.

· Reviews payable invoices for accuracy and matches to the purchase order submitted for authorization of purchase.

· Assists the Accounting Manager with special projects as required and provides feedback to the Accounting Manager as needed.

· Corresponds or communicates with vendors when necessary to correct or modify invoices received.

· Requires broad knowledge of Accounts Payable and Finance programs, systems and services.

· Resolves complex vendor reconciliations and responds to escalated vendor questions.

· Support quarter-end close activities, such as the preparation of journal entries, invoice accruals, and various reconciliation, balancing and analysis requirements.

· Interfaces with employees, managers, vendors, and related departments in order to acquire and provide Accounts Payable information.

Requirements

· 2 or more years of accounting experience (accounts payables/receivables)

· Must have excellent organizational skills

· Excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills is a must

· Must be proficient with Excel

· High School Diploma/College degree is a plus
