We are looking for a Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst assists in performing economic research and studies subjects such as amortization, working capital, investments, rates of return, cash flow, real estate markets, fixed assets, depreciation, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, 3rd party reports, legal documents and income statements.

• Analyzes and advises on implementing major transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, redevelopments, syndications and other deal structures.
• Understands and applies financial and economic principles, concepts, practices, and standards, as well as knowledge of industry practices.
• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management.
• May maintain accounting procedures to comply with corporate accounting and GAAP for projects.
• May assist in budgeting process and review for all aspects of the property mortgages, replacement reserve escrows and Mortgage Insurance Premium expense.
• May assists with coordination of interim auditor needs as well as maintenance of auditor status reports.
• May run controls for payments of mortgage, tax and insurance amounts.
• May assist with accounting, financial and economic aspects of projects.
• Documents policies and procedures and may conduct training in area of expertise. Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement.
• Work for this position requires some non-routine tasks that involve limited evaluation & judgment of various clear-cut factors & making decisions within prescribed practices & recognized methods. Regular supervision. May direct & review work of lower level employees.

• Associates degree in business or accounting or equivalent. At least 3-5 years of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access. Basic PeopleSoft, Hyperion or Essbase skills
