Job Description
Role Summary
Support the timely and appropriate administration of freight and equipment damage claims for VW GoA in Chattanooga , TN.
Role Responsibilities
•Support production and in-house materials management team in the development and administration of freight and equipment damage claims.
•Coordinate investigations, ensure all parties support assigned process, follow through on repairs, replacements as needed and close claim issues up to point of any remunerations required.
•Ensure that material/products are available in the proper place, at the proper time, in the proper quantities, at the necessary quality, and at the best landed cost in alignment with Supply Management strategies, policies and procedures
•Creation and launching of KPI-s and definition of countermeasures before deviation from targets
Job Requirements
Skills
•Work / Project experiences with major in Materials Management, Logistics or Supply Chain, Container Management, experience in continuous improvement or Six Sigma before and after launching of new products and processes
•Management Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
•Experience in SAP
•Experience in successful English negotiation with Logistics Partner
•Annual pricing review with Logistics Partner
Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role
•Experience and knowledge in group standards for material handling, container management, making specifications for logistics providers, experience in negotiation with logistics providers, management system (SAP) parameters, attributes, inventory records, delivery information
•Process expertise logistics planning, continuous improvement and group workshops
Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)
Group meetings: container management, negotiation of tenders with purchasing and providers
Will travel near 65-70% during 1st year to Germany .
