Optical Lab Technician: National Vision, Inc.

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to learn company policies and procedures, company philosophies, and company expectations to prepare for a management position within the company. Responsible for sales, customer service, and supervisory work by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.

v Job Specific Standards

Ø Customer Service

§ Greets all customers as they enter the store; informs them of promotional items

§ Assists customers with choice of frames; chooses eyewear to best fit the customer’s budgetary requirements; in applicable states dispenses and adjusts frames to ensure proper fit and patient satisfaction, accept payment, etc.

§ Makes customers a priority over other tasks and takes action to satisfy customer needs

§ Listens to patient/customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations; seek manager’s recommendations on how to properly resolve unique situations

§ Answers and screens incoming phone calls; distributes call to the appropriate department; takes messages as necessary.

§ Conduct inventory count and replenish stock as necessary; report unusual inventory shortages to management team

§ Attains sales goals established by the management team

§ Complies with all company policies and procedures and local laws

Ø Development and Coaching

§ Assist management team with preparation of sales trends, average sales, net profits, payroll percentages, commission, and payroll schedule, end of day closeout; other corporate reporting as necessary

§ Assist management team with the supervision of the sales associates and technicians; assigns duties, work schedules, train, motivate, counsel, enforce company policies and procedures.
