ANNOUNCES AN EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY IN MUNICIPAL SERVICE

Part-time Environmental Assistants

Hourly Pay - $10

The City of University City is accepting applications for this grant-funded part-time temporary position within the Public Works Department. Position is designed to assist the Engineering Division complete an audit and assessment of approximately 4,700 street lights and obtain and input data for a green house emission study. Work hours range between 8 am — 5 pm, Monday to Friday; 25 to 30 hours each week. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

Preferred qualifications include work experience and/or some college preferred, coursework in electrical engineering, applied sciences, air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, energy, environmental or related technical science, business, accounting or related field; some knowledge of AutoCad, GIS and GPS desirable. A licensed and properly insured vehicle is required to complete field inspections and collect data throughout the city (mileage will be reimbursed). A valid operator license is also required.
