Principal Quality Engineer

The Principal Engineer is responsible for supporting and sustaining Renal Quality Engineering activities related to medical device disposables and/or hardware. Responsibilities include: ? Independently represent the Renal Quality function on Product Support projects ? Provide direction and critical reviews for development planning, design inputs, design outputs, design verification and validation, peer technical and design reviews, risk management planning, risk analysis/risk control, and risk management reporting. ? Provide support to global Renal manufacturing facilities and associated manufacturing and supplier changes ? Conduct trending, technical closure, and investigations of customer complaints as part of CAPA and continuous improvement processes. ? Support Quality input to DHF/risk remediation activities ? Participate in compliance audits
- BS in Engineering plus minimum 5 years relevant experience preferred, OR
- MS and minimum 3years relevant experience in Quality Engineering for medical disposables and/or hardware preferred.
- ASQ Certification preferred.
- Six Sigma Engineering Certificate preferred.
- Must have the ability to apply engineering knowledge and independent judgment to technically support the Quality function on a global basis.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
