Plant General Manager, Manufacturing, Engineering, Management



Plant General Manager

Moss Inc, the leading manufacturer of tension fabric structures in Salt Lake City.

Primary responsibilities:
The General Manager is primarily responsible for on-time delivery and targeted margin performance on all projects while meeting or exceeding Moss quality standards. Work with department heads to ensure production and inventory management processes are followed and quality, profitability and continuous improvement standards are met. Promote advancement of lean efforts companywide. Manage labor and other facility resources to meet divisional cost and EBITDA goals. Collaborate with other Moss facilities to promote standardization. Must be a change leader.

Qualifications include:

  • Ten years experience in progressively challenging management positions with 5 years direct plant management.
  • Bachelor's degree in operation management, engineering or related filed, advanced degree preferred.
  • Six Sigma or equivalent lean manufacturing highly desired.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills required.
  • Spanish fluency a plus.
  • Must have a sense of urgency to meet goals.
