Assistant Manager Real Estate Lending: Star One Credit Union
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES · Coach and monitor real estate lending staff through direct guidance, leadership, timely feedback and constructive criticism. · Oversee real estate lending staff training to assure adequate knowledge of regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures. · Coordinate routine staff schedules to meet the needs of the area and members, approve Paid Time-Off requests and timesheets. · Assist manager in preparing annual performance appraisals and employee career development reviews. · Recommend and initiate changes to appropriate lending and loan review processes, policies, and procedures. · Assist Senior Vice President, Loan Services manager and other Assistant Consumer Loan Services Manager with review of real estate loan delinquency and preparation of charge off recommendations. · Assist management and staff to review and assess real estate loan modification requests including preparation of statistical reports for management. · Assist management with periodic real estate portfolio review and process improvement initiatives. · Oversee preparation of periodic statistical activity reports for management. · Work with branches and other departments to assure efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of real estate lending. · Resolve member complaints. · Work with staff to assure respect and promote member service and privacy. · Assist management with loan projects to improve the Credit Union’s real estate products, services and operations. · Sign checks in accordance with Board approved delegation. · Assume most duties of the Loan Services Manager or Consumer Lending Assistant Loan Services Manager in their absence, when needed. Assume additional duties as directed by Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Six years of current and progressive experience within the functional area, two of which must be in a management role with a financial institution. Normally requires a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or the equivalent level of education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must possess leadership skills. Ability to interact and communicate in a positive manner with members, co-workers, and management. Self-directed, goal and result oriented individual. Ability to work with limited supervision. Creative, outgoing personality and ability to create an effective team. Knowledge of consumer, real estate, collection and bankruptcy regulations. Proficient with personal computer and Microsoft Office software applications.
