In addition, may perform Account Manager or Account Executive responsibilities as applicable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participates with broker and operations and/or staff manager in planning unit goals andobjectives Ensures that work assignments delegated to staff are aligned with unit goals and objectives Manages staff including; motivating/mentoring staff, providing employee training and development, conducting performance reviews and performing disciplinary action as appropriate Recommend personnel/staffing needs to operations and/or staff manager Selects candidates, conducts interviews and recommends candidate hires to operations and/or staff manager Coordinates new hire on-boarding with Human Resources department Manages unit schedule, receives and approves timecards and time off requests Reviews and pre-approves Professional Development requests; forwards to operations and/or staff manager for final approval Develops strong working relationships with staff and brokers Gathersnew and lost business reports Prepares reports including expiration and policy status reportsfor team Encourages and facilitates carrier and/or brokerage relations including carrier promotions, products knowledge and systems usage and/ortraining Coordinates dead file assignments Maintains regular communication with StaffManager and Operations Manager Attends company sponsored training and development programs asmandated Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 8 - 10 years related work experience; International experience on high level accounts a plus; Valid insurance license; Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal; Encouraged to completeCareer Path requirements as communicated by supervisor SKILLS Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work within a team, lead a team and foster teamwork Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Good problem solving and time management skills Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork Proficient in Agency Management System We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
