Automotive Technician/Mechanic: Pacific Motor Service

Pacific Motor Service, a division of Tallyhoe Automotive Inc. is located in beautiful downtown Monterey , CA. Pacific Motor Service has been locally owned and operated since 1947, and is the premium service and repair facility in Monterey County offering a complete line of services for cars, trucks and SUV's.

In our continuing effort to provide our customers with the most complete and professional service in the area, we have developed a need for an Automotive Lead Technician / Master Technician.

Major Responsibilities:

Ø Assisting, training and supervising Entry level and Journeyman Technicians in performing Technical Activities.

Ø Diagnosis and Repairs to industry standards and specifications.

Ø Adequately explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include customers on an as-required basis.

Ø Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology.

Ø Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.

Ø Work directly with management to continually highlight, advance and improve shop technology, equipment and training.

Ø Maintains an organized and neat work environment and notifies management of equipment or safety issues.

Ø Able to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Ø 5+ Years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience.

Ø ASE Certification (Master Preferred)

Ø State of CA Drivers License w/ Clean record

Ø Strong Leadership and Customer Service skills.

Additional traits and abilities:

Ø PC based computer experience (i.e. Windows, AllData, Identifix)
