This position is for project manager with radio/communications skills.

This position is for project manager with radio/communications skills. Project scope is primarily around two way radio for vessel communications and ship to shore communications. The current project plan needs to be re-assessed and key deliverables of the project include:

1) Update and get approved SEPCo Alaska North Slope Communications Plan

2) activate Kulluk communications systems (VSAT, radio, telephone, RTOC)

3) complete MSAT pilot test and report

4) deploy vessel communications (Iridium, VHF radio, email)

5) reactivate and test Deadhorse IT/communications systems

6) install linked base station at Kaktovik.

7) Implement logistics base communications in place - Tuk + satellite package.


SKILLS Strong technical skills are more important than strong PM skills, but communications skills are key. Would like someone with about seven years of technical experience in radios and communication and about 4 years of project management or equivalent leadership experience.
