The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for: - delivering on the Mission of the HR department - developing an HR strategy and plans - attracting, motivating and retaining the best employees at competitive costs - fostering a culture of employee engagement using effective communications - planning, managing and administering competitive, cost effective benefits, retirement and compensation programs - managing payroll and controlling the records management process - selecting, setting goals with, and evaluating team members - establishing recruiting, on-boarding and training processes that minimize turnover and its cost to the business - leading the talent management processes to ensure organization continuity - providing consultation services to operations and each of the functional areas - establishing effective performance management systems founded on competencies and goal attainment - developing HR policies and procedures which support the business - ensuring consistent and sound application of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with policy intent - developing and using metrics to manage and report on the effectiveness of HR - conducting periodic analysis of policies and procedures to identify potential areas of legal and other risk and proactively address opportunities identified Required Personal Traits - Leadership: An action oriented person and builds strong teams; ability to plan and manage tactically and strategically - Decision Maker: analytical thinker who can process data and make quick decisions - Smart: ability to analyze and evaluate alternatives in a timely manner - Collaborative: ability to work closely with all levels of the organization - Flexibility: ability to adapt to change while staying the course and delivering results Education and /Skills - Bachelor’s Degree required - Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior HR Role - While skilled in all aspects of HR must have strong technical know -how in Compensation, Benefits and HRIS - PHR, or SPHR preferred - Seasoned business-savvy human resources leader who can motivate others - Strong track record of initiative, achievement and of successfully implementing change. - Subject matter expert with the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with and influence the decision making of senior management.
