Job Description

The Manager of Configuration / Model Office is responsible for the daily supervision and operations of the Configuration team.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:

* Manages the supervision of the Configuration staff to include hiring, work allocation, scheduling, training and professional development, problem resolution, performance evaluation and related supervisory activities.
* Leads team activities that support enterprise applications such as the Facets transaction processing system, CCMS, Onyx and others, including business requirements, configuration changes, and assistance with training.
* Serves as a resource to the business units at BMCHP to provide advice and direction regarding the capabilities of the enterprise applications, such as the Facets system and CCMS.
* Coordinates monthly configuration schedule, configuration changes, testing and create Facets Release Notes
* Facilities bi-weekly Facets Advisory Board meetings
* Participates in workgroups and committees as needed
* Works with business users to document scope statements, define business requirements, perform analysis and provide recommendations for new system modules, enhancements or improvements of current systems.
* Manages project implementation of new Facets modules, upgrades and other configuration projects.
* Reviews and analyzes end user issues and problems, including managing the Facets Questions process.
* Coordinates testing of new Facets releases and testing of custom enhancements.

Required Skills
* Demonstrated competence using MS tools, including MS Office products, MS Access, SQL, Visio, and MS Project.
* Experience with TriZetto's Facets application or other enterprise Transaction Processing system is required.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interact within all levels of the organization. Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and problem solve is required.
* Excellent analytic and problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Must be able to utilize analytic skills to conceptualize and envision the impact of change, and propose new ways to do business. Required Experience

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required.
* Master's Degree preferred

Experience:

* 10 or more years progressively responsible experience in a managed care or healthcare environment, preferably in an information systems department is required; or
* Master's Degree plus 8-10 years experience.
