POSITION SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for the timely and accurate presentation of assigned financial accounts within the General Ledger. The Senior Accountant will ensure appropriateness of transactions posted to assigned accounts (in compliance with GAAP, OSHPD, and other regulatory guidelines as necessary) and ensures integrity of subsidiary system postings to the General Ledger. Maintenance of the various general ledgers; including the hospital and Foundation. Also prepares various financial reports and analyses for internal and external use, as well as assists in the audit/review of these reports. Works on special projects for Financial Operations as they arise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three to five years relevant experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting

General ledger experience.

Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis principles.

High degree of organization/priority-setting abilities.

Must be flexible and willing to work within a team.

Computer skills including spreadsheets and applications.

Ability to work under minimal supervision.
