Primary Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and modify infrastructure systems including testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale computer system
- Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
- Provide expertise in software system compatibility's, operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing applications, and overall operating systems
- Provide expertise in planning, designing, installing, configuring, repairing, recovering, system monitoring, and performance tuning of network systems, Wintel servers, UNIX, Linux, and AIX Operating Systems and hardware
- Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security
- Engineer design and consult for LAN and WAN network systems including internal and external commercial data centers
- Coordinate and assist in the operations and maintenance of LAN and WAN systems
- Establish and modify drawings for configuration management of LAN and WAN systems
- Assist in the procurement of new network systems and in the procurement of LAN and WAN network systems maintenance services
- Familiarity requirements with the following technologies:
- VMware (ESX, View, Lab Manager, backup strategies, monitoring strategies capacity planning strategies)
- SAN and NAS (storage as well as backup strategies, monitoring strategies capacity planning strategies)
- DNS, AD, cable management, database (oracle, SQL and others) interactions with storage and the associated applications
- LAN network connectivity
- WAN network connectivity
- Cisco hardware and OS, FTP, SFTP, Citrix and other as implemented.
- Assist with support of data center operations as needed such as hardware installations, remote server support, tape backups, on-call rotation
- Plan, implement, and execute strategic projects; these projects may involve operating system or application migration, IT planning, or rollout of mission critical applications

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience with SAN-Storage Area Network and NAS-Network Attached Storage - storage related technology
- 4+ years of storage experience in a large, complex enterprise environment (1000+ servers / 10,000+ employees
- 2+ years of experience using storage management tools for the purpose of performance and utilization optimization
- 3+ years of experience with Wintel server maintenance and troubleshooting experience
Assets:
- EMC Control Center
- File Level Reporter
- Microsoft certifications are a plus
- Post-graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
