The role: Demand Planner

The Platforms team is seeking an individual with proven operational experience in material planning and inventory management. This individual will work closely with customers, procurement, engineering and supplier partners to develop accurate demand and shipping forecasts that directly supports Google's rapidly growing hardware infrastructure.

• Develop predictive, high quality global supply plans.
• Drive priority awareness to component engineering based on supply plans.
• Accountable for optimal inventory levels at each hub location.
• On time and predictable delivery of material to customers.
• Lead continuous process improvements in forecasting and inventory strategies.

• Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business with emphasis in Operations or Finance. MBA a plus. BS/MS in EE, CS or equivalent a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in supply chain operations/manufacturing.
• Experience with Oracle 11i in manufacturing or inventory.
• Business process and/or application configuration knowledge with supply chain.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to successfully work across multiple levels of an organization.
