IT Asset Manager: Vitel Communications

A. POSITION SUMMARY:

A hands-on IT technician position with responsibilities including supporting IT infrastructure, help desk, and asset management.

B. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for supporting IT Infrastructure, helpdesk and asset management. This includes Dell PC, laptop, servers, cell phone and Blackberry support and IT asset management. Helpdesk support for network, internet, telecommunications, procurement and user account management. The role also includes responsibility for supporting 550 Sprint/Nextel lines, cell phones, blackberry devices / Aircards and GPS tracking fleet of 325 trucks supporting our cable installation business. The candidate must have 5 years experience, including asset management, helpdesk support and infrastructure support. The candidate should have excellent leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and he/she must be a team player who works well with others.

The candidate should possess the following fundamental core competencies:

· Asset Management (IT, Telecom, Warehouse Consumables)

· Helpdesk and Infrastructure Production Support

· IT Policies and Procedures

· Client support and relationship management

· Project Management, PMI, SDLC, CMM

Primary core competencies

· Call Center Technology: Cisco IPCC, IVR, Witness,

· Cisco Routers/Switches

· Active Directory, LDAP,

· LAN/WAN administration

· Citrix, VMware, MS SQL

· Security Administration: Cisco ASA Boxes, Trend Micro, SSL Encryption, VPN tunnel

Secondary core competencies

· Disaster Recovery

· System Monitoring

· Microsoft Office: Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

· Vendor management & Sourcing
