Supervisor: Richland Manufacturing

Production Supervisor Richland Manufacturing Inc. is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for its manufacturing facility in Olney, Illinois. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will require: Monitor inventory levels, plan and manage manpower and revise routings as needed. Responsible along with engineering for new model line set up, including maintenance by performing minor or major repairs through delegation. Be directly responsible for root cause of external and internal defects. Aggressively promote quality to assure ISO 9001:2000 compliance and provide continuous training within these activities. Responsible for the security, housekeeping, and maintenance of the facility and equipment in a manner designed to maintain plant morale, safety, and company image in the community and to visitors. Conduct and/or attend daily start up meetings, supervisor communication meetings and other meetings as needed. Schedule overtime as required. Monitor attendance and scheduling of vacation. Establish and maintain effective lines of communication and feedback with other sections, departments and shifts. Complete all performance appraisal activities, disciplines, and corrective requirements in accordance with appropriate policy. Assure the safety of all associates by job hazard awareness, enforcing policies, training in safe work methods and compliance with safety rules. Qualifications include two years of college education preferred. 3-5 years in manufacturing and at least two years in a supervisory position. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must. Good supervisory and human resource skills are also very important. Must exercise discretion when dealing with highly confidential information. Prefer computer experience in Microsoft Office. Ability to deal with outside vendors as needed.
