Responsible for growing satisfied client relationships, expands product offerings, maintains a profitable book of business, and implements and integrates expanded products and new clients.
  • Retains and expands existing client relationships and is responsible for the integration and implementation of new clients.
  • Identifies key decision makers and determines the services, products and combinations that will best serve and address the client issues and objectives.
  • Leads the development of custom solutions for the client.
  • Negotiates with the client/carrier for the efficient delivery of services at profitable fee levels.
  • Ensures the full scope of services are priced appropriately for client expansion opportunities.
  • Presents the solutions to clients and negotiates compensation effectively.
  • Documents the scope of service and compensation in a Client Service Agreement by working with legal and negotiating with client to execute the contract.
  • Creates a client-specific business plan in conjunction with colleagues to ensure growth, retention, and cross-sell goals are met.
  • Coordinates internal operational departments to ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations and protect the firm from Errors & Omissions (E&O).
  • Ensures quality of deliverables and enforcement of critical deadlines through effective communication.
  • Leads communication between the client and the service team members locally and nationally.
  • Seeks feedback on Marsh's execution of projects and renewals through ongoing client dialogue.
  • Reports at-risk accounts and executes client retention strategies.
  • Provides assistance to the team by answering daily questions and providing ongoing developmental training to team members, encouraging self-directed research.
  • Communicates with each team member, promoting and encouraging a positive team atmosphere.
  • Ensures that quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of the practice and is responsible for all contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Works with compliance department to follow up and monitor quality standards.
  • Travels extensively and gives face-to-face presentations to current and/or potential clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Client Executive I - Minimum of five years insurance industry experience. Services least complex accounts and may lead projects of less complexity for various clients. May assist higher level client executives on larger more complex accounts.

Client Executive II - Five to ten years of industry experience. Is the leading client executive in the local marketplace. Handles more complex accounts with multiple lines of coverage. Effectively matches client needs to Marsh resources. Manages special projects as assigned. Acts as a leader and mentor to client executive team. Responsible for year over year growth of business through preservation of renewal business, appropriate pricing, and a new and expanded goal with experience and the budget goals of the organization.

Client Executive III - Minimum of 10 years industry experience. Handles high volume, most complex accounts with multiple lines of coverage. Identifies additional opportunities for cross selling and expanding Marsh products. Effectively develops opportunities, client relationships and gains new business. Responsible for year over year growth of business through preservation of renewal business, appropriate pricing, and a new and expanded goal with experience and the budget goals of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years Life and Health benefits experience with background in client management, sales, vendor relationship or administration
  • Experience managing complex client relationships
  • Ability to set and manage client expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others a in a high visibility client environment.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate information concisely internally as well as externally with satellite locations and external clients
  • Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong financial acumen and analysis skills
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to execute and follow through on projects to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required
  • Must demonstrate strong active listening, sensitivity to audience, and follow-up skills
  • Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to personal and professional development
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • L&H license required and designations preferred
