Department Overview
Learning & Development is in the business of reviewing, managing and enhancing individual, team and organisational performance. The Operations Academy is made up of learning and development consultants and specialist, trainers and project managers, who provide a 'One-Stop Shop' for all the Learning and Development needs of the Operations business.The Operations Academy is a global partnership between the global Operations Department and Learning and Development.

Main Function
To develop and implement the US Operations Academy training initiatives and to raise its profile across the business. The role requires strategic vision balanced with a practical and pro-active mindset, with specific attention to global consistency as part of the global Operations Academy team and supporting the local US business’ training needs.

Main Duties
Duties will be varied and will include: · Take a leadership role in the facilitation and presentation of Operations Academy initiatives and deliverables with Senior Management as well as with the broader Operations business · A project management approach to implementing and promoting Operations Academy training projects · Play a US leadership role in the facilitation and presentation of business initiatives to Operations Senior Management as well as to the broader business. · Coordination with global Operations Academy team members to ensure global consistency across deliverables as well as to develop strategy and objectives · Implementation of business driven training, providing advisory on best practices and a framework to facilitate seamless execution · Take an proactive role in building strong partnerships with Operations Senior Management in the US · General responsibilities as part of the broader Learning and Development Team. Examples include participation in bi-weekly L&D meetings, leveraging ideas across businesses supported by L&D colleagues, and ad hoc team projects Communication of initiatives available to the business with a keen focus on relationship management with the Global Operations Academy team, the Operations business, the communications function, and various L&D members globally. Reporting to Global Head of Operations Academy in London, this role is aligned to the Operations Academy team globally and locally to the US L&D team.

Person Requirements
· BA/BS Degree Learning and development professional · Project management in a training/HR environment Experience of working in a global and/or virtual team · Basic understanding of the Operations function within the investment bank · Consulting and facilitating skills · Negotiating skills · Presentation and delivery skills · Numerate, with strong analytical skills · IT skills · Strategic and tactical · Resilience, energy and credibility · Flexible attitude – will do what it takes, nothing beneath them · Self sufficient and pro-active · Facilitative style that promotes and encourages learning and builds strong relationships across the business. · Action and results focused · Well-developed organisational and interpersonal skills · Business partner and team player, resourceful and reliable · Attention to accuracy and detail Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Preferred: · Knowledge of Operations and financial services industry · Proven capability in the delivery of product, financial markets, systems and Operations technical specific training.
