Electric Motor Winders

TAW® is seeking experienced Electric Motor Winders for our location in Tampa , FL.

Founded in 1921, TAW® has grown to become one of the largest rotating equipment repair houses in the country. Our corporate headquarters are located in Riverview , FL and currently have 12 locations throughout FL & GA.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Perform complicated operations involving rewinding, repairing, stripping, and connecting on large and more complicated D.C. Field Coils.

· Perform complicated operations involving dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling, testing, and other closely associated functions involved on large and more complicated A.C. and D.C. random wound equipment such as motor and generator stators, armatures, and wound rotors.

· May dismantle and make repairs to large commutators and collector ring assemblies, as well as band rotating equipment and repair core laminations on the above.

· May dismantle, repair, and assemble components to coil assemblies, as well as assist in installation of coils on pole pieces.

· Assist with illustrating and/or documenting all data relevant to unit’s electro-magnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability.

· Assist in preparing reusable parts for rewinding and in inspecting renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.

· Assist in rewinding various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment as directed by supervisor.

· Operate specialized repair and/or testing equipment, including but not limited to: burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, dip tanks, various hand-held power and non-power tools.

· Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye and ear protection).

· Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.

· Other duties as assigned.
