Vice President of Faith & Ministries

The Vice President of Faith & Ministries provides effective leadership to Pastoral Care staff and ensures that spiritual care is provided to our patients, families, and hospital staff. This position is an executive management role reporting directly to the President & COO of North Carolina Baptist Hospital .

Other Responsibilities

· Provides management and oversight of the outpatient ministries of CareNet, Inc., and the diverse ministries of the Center for Congregational Health, Inc.

  • Serves as liaison between the Medical Center and churches, primarily those in the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and others in the local community, to plan and coordinate ministries.

Education/Licensure

· Bachelor’s degree

· Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree

· One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education

  • Ordination to Ministry

Experience/Licensure

· Familiarity with the key leaders and basic organization of the Baptist State Convention

· Ability to relate to diverse faith communities

· Demonstrated success in non-profit management including development

· Experience in the integration of spiritual care in healthcare systems

· Demonstrated strong leadership skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Knowledge of the history, heritage and purpose of North Carolina Baptist Hospital (preferred)
