Physiotherapy Associates is a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy and orthotic and prosthetic services, with over 650 clinical sites throughout the US.

We pride ourselves on employee and patient satisfaction and offer a remarkable level of customer service. We are seeking individuals with strong interpersonal and communication skills to join us at our regional billing office in (Indiana, PA), and will assist us in servicing our valued patients and help generate an excellent working environment.

We currently have an opening for a Patient Account Representative in Indiana, PA.

Duties include:

  • Work patient accounts by statusing claims online via the web or by phone calls to the insurance companies and patients.

  • Status claims using a focused approach by location and patient type (i.e. workers comp, BCBS, Medicare, etc.)

  • Re-file corrected claims with supporting documentation as necessary.

  • Print denied work list to review and research denials to determine reason and send corrected claims and appropriate documentation as necessary.

  • Review all explanation of benefits (EOB) denials for zero payment and partial payments.

  • Report non-payment trend to reimbursement Supervisor in order to communicate issues to upper management for investigation and resolve.

  • Complete necessary documentation required for appeals to third party payors.

  • Assist with various systems clean-up projects.

  • Monitor cash collected on a daily basis for location assignments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of one year of computer and high volume medical billing and/or insurance claims processing or equivalent.
