Pitney Bowes Government Solutions (PBGS) is a division of Pitney Bowes, Inc., a strong company with an 80+ dear history in mailing that expanded into all aspects of document management. PBGS provides administrative and support services to various government agencies by focusing on solutions through technology, processes and people.
What exactly are our business services? In short, we handle the administrative responsibilities of government agencies - managing an agency's mail and distribution center, running a copy center, delivering faxes, providing secretarial support, ordering and stocking supplies, and more. PBGS also offers other business solutions, including high-volume print and production mail, records management, desktop publishing, electronic documents, and business recovery services.

PBGS is currently seeking full time data entry associates who are career-minded, and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Identify objective data and enter ("key what you see") at a high level of productivity and accuracy
- Perform data entry task from a paper and/or document image
- Utilize system functions to perform data look-up and validation
- Perform entry of data presented in structured forms, correspondence text or presented out of context in character strings
- Perform document image quality validation, including document type confirmation and verification of image quality and clarity
- Identify, classify and sort documents by assigning document types within the data entry application
- Handle time-sensitive information
- Handle confidential information
- Perform duties and special requests as assigned by team leader and manager
- Ensure operating and quality standards are met based on service objectives
- Maintain accuracy of required reports, logs and measurements
- Ensure the highest levels of customer care
- Ensure adherence to business guidelines, safety & security procedures
- Support financial results by minimizing site waste and rework
- Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume environment
- Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
- Take direction from supervisor or site manager
- Participate in cross-training
- Good reading and communication skills
- Adhere to all safety procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of one year customer service related experience preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience performing data entry, word processing, remittance processing or related functions required
- Proficient Keyboarding skills required - 7,000 keystrokes per hour alphanumeric, 9,000 keystrokes per hour numeric, with high accuracy levels
- Ability to meet data entry processing quota of 200 pieces of mail per day required
- Experience handling time-sensitive materials like confidential and/or urgent documents
- Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-growing production environment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and accept ownership of projects
- Ability to use problem-solving skills in order to resolve client issues
- Basic mathematical knowledge
- Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
- Strong computer proficiency and work experience in email and Microsoft Windows environments is required
- Good credit history with no accounts currently in collections required
- No past due debt beyond 120 days
- No defaulted federal debt, unpaid collections, judgments and/or repossessions
- Willingness to submit to a full background investigation
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screening
- Applicants selected must have a government security background investigation completed and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
