Senior Programmer Analyst - Kronos


The Senior Kronos Technical Analyst is responsible for production support of an Off the Shelf (OTS) web based application at BSC. The selected candidate will be responsible for daily management, upgrades, bug fixes, enhancements, interfaces, and other business requests.


This candidate will work on Kronos production support items for Kronos v5.2 configuration changes, modifications, performance issue fixes and other application related projects. You will interface with business users, Kronos vendor, and IS Business Analysts to provide the required support. Specific areas of responsibility are to provide global solutions and support to meet the requirements of Boston Scientific.


Responsibilities:


  • Understands customer’s business implications and incorporates understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintains collaborative working relationship with IS business partners, IS services (database, data center, servers, desktop, networking, security), and software vendors.
  • Demonstrates technical leadership by staying current on new technologies.
  • Creates and maintains all required technical documentation per IS methodology and
  • processes.
  • Analyzes, designs, constructs, tests, and implements system or application enhancements.
  • Accountable for technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction.
  • Accountable for job scheduling and monitoring, performance management, data management, Operating System and application upgrades and patches, code and data migrations, and backup/recovery.
  • Provides production support by proactively monitoring applications and seeking to improve application availability, quality, and performance by ensuring achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and participating in required on-call support.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience implementing or supporting a payroll and/or time and attendance (Kronos) business applications required. Proficient in the support of Information Systems projects for Kronos Workforce Management system.
  • Experience working through the complete development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, formal testing and deployment.
  • Experience with Oracle database, Microsoft SQL query language and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft HRMS and ADP Payroll business applications
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic.
  • MS Project Management skills a plus.
  • Proficiency in configuration of Kronos pay rules, accrual rules, security profiles, basic schedules, time clocks etc.
  • High level analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Strong planning, organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills and is a proficient problem solver
  • Ability to acquire new skills quickly, is enthusiastic, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation as well as outside consultants.
