Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON - Registered Nurse - RN

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists the DON in managing and directing the nursing staff in all clinical aspects of skilled nursing operations. The ADON is responsible for providing the highest level of care while ensuring federal, state and local regulatory compliance and is responsible for the MDS process to ensure and promote the highest degree of quality care possible for our residents. The ADON supervises the nursing staff, including nursing staff recruitment and scheduling. The ADON must be a leader who can educate, motivate, direct, and respect his/her staff. The ADON will assume the responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON) in his/her absence.

Qualifications:

1. Certifications/Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN)- Licensed by Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.

2. Education: A degree from an approved school of nursing.

3. Training and Experience: One/two years full time clinical experience in Long Term Care with Proficiency in Medicare, Minimum Data Set (MDS)/Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Care Plan process.

The Chandler Estate in Laurel Heights is part of Morningside Ministries and is a 126-bed skilled nursing facility located in San Antonio , TX . -----
