Instructional Designer Content Developer



Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS) is a leading provider of information technology services and software to businesses and government agencies worldwide, known for delivering expert, cross-industry solutions across multiple platforms. Since 1984, CGS has helped companies leverage information technology to gain the competitive edge.

CGS is seeking Instructional Designers/Content Developers who have experience working in refinery manufacturing to update and revamp training ILT manuals for chemical and machinery courses. Templates are in word- must apply sound adult learning theories. Hours of work are standard business hours-40 hours per week full. Project starts on or around Q1 in 2010.

Instructional Designers can be located anywhere in the U.S. and must be able to travel. Travel and Expenses will be paid.
Some locations that travel might be required to are: Norco, LA; Deer Park, TX; Scotford,CA; Saskatchewan, CA; Geismar,LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Mobile, AL; Montreal, CA; Sarnia, CA, Ontario, CA, etc.

Might have to support sites not in your local area - if selected you would travel to a site on week 1, go home and work week 2, come back week 3 or 4 etc. continuous cycle 8 week cycles.

Project can possibly run multi-year.

Required Skills:

Have experience working at in refinery manufacturing

Instructional Design experience

Training experience

Experience with chemical plant training and/or petroleum training a plus

Must know MS Word

Able to work independently

Good researcher

Have good client facing skills

COLLEGE DEGREE REQUIRED AND ADVANCED DEGREE PREFERRED - IF ANY EDUCATION RELATING TO OIL/CHEMICALS INDUSTRY a PLUS.
