Description: Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN seeks applicants at the assistant/associate professor rank, for a tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering beginning August 2010. A PhD with concentrations in electronics and energy conversion is preferred. An ABD will be considered. CBU is an institution that emphasizes high quality teaching, through a commitment to teaching. The candidate is expected to contribute to the broader educational and professional mission of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. CBU offers a BS in electrical, mechanical, civil and chemical engineering. The mission of the School of Engineering at Christian Brothers University is threefold: (1) to continue the Lasallian tradition through excellence in teaching and focus on the individual student, (2) to prepare graduates for professional careers and advanced study in engineering, and (3) to encourage students to live with moral responsibility and constructive community involvement.
