Traffic Engineer / ITS (PE)
The Traffic Engineer shall have a valid professional engineering licensure in Florida with at least 5 years of professional work experience. The Traffic Engineer will design complex solutions in ITS / ATMS encompassing ATMS devices, wireless and wireline communications network, and end communications equipment as well as signalization, signing and pavement markings, and lighting. Prior experience with CADD tools such as Microstation and AutoCAD, familiarity with the Florida Department of Transportation Basis of Estimation and associated pay items, and design of at least 3 ITS / ATMS and Signalization plans is preferred.
CAD Designers
Our Design Team offers excellent opportunities to Designers who plan to pursue careers in ITS / ATMS and Traffic Engineering and wish to obtain professional engineering licensure in the future. The Designer will work with ITS and Traffic Engineers to design complex solutions encompassing ATMS devices, wireless and wireline communications network, end communications equipment, signalization, signing and pavement markings, and lighting for various ongoing projects. Prior experience with CADD tools such as Microstation and AutoCAD, familiarity with the Florida Department of Transportation Basis of Estimation and associated pay items, and possession of college degree in engineering is preferred. The successful candidate must have good communication skills, creative thinking, and an aptitude for design work.
CADD Operators
Our Design Team offers excellent opportunities to CADD designer/operator who plan to pursue careers in ITS and Traffic Engineering. The candidate will work with ITS and Traffic Engineers in support of ITS and Traffic Engineering projects encompassing ATMS devices, wireless and wireline communications network, signalization, signing and pavement markings, and lighting. Prior experience CADD tools (Microstation/ AutoCAD), familiarity with the Florida Department of Transportation Basis of Estimation and associated pay items, and possession of high school diploma is preferred. The successful candidate shall be a diligent and fast learner with the capability to adapt to dynamic work environment.
Systems Integration Specialist
We are in the process of expanding our Systems Testing and Integration Team for delivering integrated ITS / ATMS solutions. The Systems Integration Specialist shall perform a variety of complex work activities including testing, configuration, and integration of ATMS devices (CCTV cameras, DMS signs, VIDS, traffic controllers, weather sensors, wireless detection repeaters and access points), wireless and wireline (both fiber optic and twisted pair copper cabling) communications media, end communications equipment, application software, video walls, workstations, etc. This position will require extensive field work, device and network troubleshooting, and collaboration with designers, system integrators, and field technicians to establish integrated ITS / ATMS subsystems and associated elements. All necessary training for devices and software shall be provided. The successful candidate must have a degree in electrical engineering or systems related, be interested in pursuing a career in Systems Integration, possess basic knowledge and understanding of ITS subsystem and associated ATMS devices and Ethernet networks, and have an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and associated components. Prior experience with ITS projects will be preferred.
Systems / Field Technician
We are in the process of expanding our Systems Integration Team for delivering integrated ITS / ATMS solutions. The Systems Integration Specialist shall perform a variety of work activities including field data collection and documentation of existing signalization infrastructure, underground and aerial communications infrastructure (fiber optic and twisted pair copper cabling) in support of design as well as device calibration. This position will require extensive field work, device and network troubleshooting, and collaboration with designers and system integrators to design and/or integrate ITS subsystems and associated components. The successful candidate must have basic knowledge and understanding of ATMS and signalizations infrastructure. Prior experience as a technician with ITS subsystem and associated elements as well as signalization infrastructure, and IMSA certification is preferred.
Administrative Assistant / Secretarial
The successful candidate shall have a minimum 3 years of experiences in managing the front desk, answering calls, filing, editing, printing / scanning documents and general office management. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and a minimum high school diploma. Two year degree or administrative training certification preferred.
Server / Network Engineer / Specialist
The successful candidate shall have a minimum 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration and support. This position will require the following skill sets and responsibilities: MCSE 2003 or later certification Experience with VMware ESX Server 3 (using H/A and D/R) HP Data Protector Fiber Channel SAN SQL Server 2005 Disaster Recovery Active Directory monitoring, reporting and administration Performance monitoring Hardware inspection and maintenance Vendor coordination for failures, updates and scheduled maintenance.
Additional preferred but not required skill sets: Switch (Cisco, Foundry) administration and configuration, CCNA certification Working knowledge of terminating fiber Encoder configuration and troubleshooting
CEI SENIOR ITS INSPECTOR - High school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in ITS construction inspection, plus the following:
