Job Description PURPOSE: Acts as a strategic business partner to the Sales / Commercial Effectiveness Organizations to facilitate the achievement of business goals through all IT activities. Leads the implementation of the Novo Nordisk IT Strategy within the Sales / Commercial Effectiveness Organizations. Participate as a member of the IT Sr. Staff helping to set and attain Novo Nordisk-wide IT strategies and goals.
RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the AVP, Information Technology. Also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Vice President, Sales / Commercial Effectiveness Organizations. This position has no direct reports, but must get work done with the help of others in the IT organization. Interacts with all levels of the business. External relationships include vendors and IT related organizations and associations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Strategic Planning and Leadership o Participates as an active strategic business partner of the Sales / Commercial Effectiveness leadership teams in setting and achieving the strategic goals of the teams o Partners with line management to support the achievement of business objectives o Leads the implementation of the NN IT Strategy for the Sales / Commercial Effectiveness teams in support of the strategy of the teams o Develops an annual and long-term IT Strategy for the Sales / Commercial Effectiveness Organizations. o Leads individual, team and organizational IT efforts necessary to achieve the business goals. · IT Policies and Procedures o Ensures flawless execution of established IT policies throughout the assigned client area o Provides input into the development of IT policies and processes o Establishes and tracks IT metrics that reflect a fact-based, comprehensive method for valuing the contributions of projects and initiatives · Collaborates with Others o Serves as an active, productive and collaborative member of the Novo Nordisk IT Sr. Staff o Leverages resources across departments, geographies and within IT to efficiently and effectively meet client needs and drive the business. o Interacts with functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify customer requirements · Customer Support o Acts as liaison between enterprise and end-users, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to define and establish service and support requirements o Investigates and resolves customer relationship problems o Participates in contract negotiation and administration o Serves as an internal consultant in analyzing business processes, assessing and defining customer specifications and requirements, and proposing business solutions to satisfy customer requirements · Provides Solutions o Proposes changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results o Assists in organization change management o Proposes business solutions that prioritizes technology and services needs o Facilitates solution development, building and testing

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS · Education: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field. Masters degree preferred. · Experience: 15+ years of progressively increasing IT experience. · Specific or technical job skills: o Solid, working knowledge of IT policies and procedures o Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year business and IT strategies · Managerial experience: o Management of cross-functional project and/or operational teams o Management of IT personnel across Software Development Lifecycle: Initiation, Design, Development, Deployment, and Support
