Senior Business Objects Developer - Portland or Palo Alto

As a Senior Business Objects Developer you'll be responsible for creating and refining business intelligence solutions used by enterprise organizations around the world to understand the usage of our product throughout their organizations. You'll work closely with product management to understand the customer needs driving your development. You'll hone your skills to a fine edge as you work on the latest Business Objects technology like Business Objects On Demand.

Responsibilities
Design and develop Business Objects Universes, reports, and dashboards
Work with product management to define, design, document, configure, and deliver solutions
Assist with customer support and sales, including training of support and sales engineering staff
Administer and manage the Business Objects OnDemand platform using tools such as Designer, Web
Intelligence, Xcelsius, Dashboard Manager and Crystal Reports
Work closely with the SAP Business Objects OnDemand team to support and develop our Analytics solution
Adhere to corporate and customer data security requirements for the storage, transportation and retention of data

Required Skills/Experience
3+ years of development experience with Business Objects XI Release 2/3, including: creating BO universes, BO Full Client and WebIntelligence reports, using aggregate aware contexts for multi subject universes, use of derived tables, complex measurement using functions, complex logical counts, and averages, solid understanding of Webi and Deski, creating complex reports that require multiple data providers, drillable reports through hierarchies and by report link through hyperlinks
2+ years of administration experience, including user/group security, application security, data row level security, scheduling and distribution strategies, and architecture knowledge
5+ years as a business analyst or IT consulting role with the ability to translate business requirements into solutions
Experience with and advanced understanding of relational and data warehouse DBMS environment, including complex data warehouse architecture (incl. analysis, design, and implementation), star schema, snowflaking, multi-tenancy, slowly changing dimensions, aggregate table design and navigation, operational data stores, data marts, etc
Strong database experience (incl. SQL, tuning, etc.) required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills
Experience with Business Objects On Demand
Data modeling experience - Advanced with 5 - 7 years of experience.
Experience with other reporting/analytical applications (esp. Hyperion, Cognos, etc.).
Experience with Business Objects SDK is a plus.
Understanding of ETL processes and dependencies.
Databse experience with Oracle or Postgres
PL/SQL, Oracle Analytic functions
