The Concrete and Asphalt Equipment Operators in the Georgia Army National Guard are there to help complete construction projects, such as airfields, roads, dams and buildings. Concrete and Asphalt Equipment Operators use bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy equipment to move tons of earth and building materials. Concrete and Asphalt Equipment Operators are responsible for supervising or operating all equipment used in concrete and asphalt production and paving.

The Georgia Army National Guard is an elite group of warriors who dedicate a portion of their time to serving their nation. Guard members train part-time to be ready full-time should their state or nation calls them to serve.


Major duties

· Produce concrete with a concrete mobile mixer

· Assist in the building and operation of asphalt producing plant

· Operate asphalt distributors, aggregate spreaders and asphalt kettles

· Assist in the operation of asphalt paving and surfacing equipment

· Assist in the performance of combat engineer missions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam

• A valid driver's license
