ACT Vocational Counselor/Job Developer

South Metro Human Services has a FT Vocational Counselor/Job Developer position available in Hennepin County to work on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team serving mentally ill and chemically dependent adults. We are looking for someone with assertiveness skills and self-confidence to meet with employers in the community to advocate and develop jobs for our clients.

Candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work (with LSW or LGSW) or related field.
  • One or more years experience helping people w/disabilities get jobs
  • and 1 year full-time work experience working with adults with SPMI/CD

Candidate must be able to accommodate a flexible working schedule rotating on-call crisis intervention, evening, weekend and holiday hours. Must alsohave own car and a valid MN driver’s license.
